The answer is yes. In 2021, when Afghanistan was undergoing regime change and Taliban was taking control, the Taliban fighters entered a local media channel. A video of the incident had also gone viral.
A video showcased a television anchor surrounded by armed Taliban fighters. The 42-second clip was shared on Twitter by BBC reporter Kian Sharifi and Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinejad.
It showcased the host of a political debate programme reading a statement from the Taliban as well as at least eight Taliban fighters.
Although this particular incident is not similar to the storyline in Aaryan, but it is an example that a media channel was hijacked during a live show.
